Integrate Judge.me with Points & Rewards for WooCommerce

Overview #

WPGens Points & Rewards for WooCommerce lets you reward customers for leaving product reviews through Judge.me. This integration helps increase review volume and engagement while protecting your program from duplicate or deleted reviews.

Setup instructions #

Prerequisites #

This integration requires the official Judge.me plugin for WooCommerce. Please make sure you install and configure the plugin and log into your Judge.me account before proceding.

Navigate to Integrations > Judge.me and toggle the integration switch.

Step 1 – Enable Judge.me integration #

Step 2 – Create a Judge.me App #

1. Make sure you are logged into your Judge.me account.
2. Go to https://judge.me/reviews/profile/apps/new and create a new app.
3. Enter the following information:
   • App Name: Your store name (e.g., “My Store Loyalty”)
   • Redirect URI:  https://example.com/wp-json/wpgens/v1/judgeme-oauth-callback
     • Important: replace https://example.com above with your website url.
4. Click Create:

Step 3 – Find the App Client ID & Secret #

If the steps above were successful, you will be taken to Judge.me profile page. From this page:

1. Click My Apps in the top right corner
2. Click the pencil next to the app name you created
3. Copy the Client ID and Secret

Step 4 – Paste & Connect #

1. In the plugin integration settings, paste the Client ID & Secret from the previous step
2. Click Connect to connect the plugin to Judge.me
3. You will be redirected to Judge.me to confirm the connection

If successfull, you should see a green banner showing the plugin is connected to Judge.me

How the integration works #

This integration will award customers with points for leaving product reviews using Judge.me plugin for WooCommerce. Here is how it works:

1. To earn points, you must have the “Product Review” earning action configured
2. When a customer leaves a review using Judge.me, points will be awarded per earning action configuration
3. Points will be awarded only once per product review. Multiple reviews of the same product will not earn points.
4. If a customer deletes their review, any points previously earned will be deducated
5. You can track the points earning activity in the plugin dashboard (see below)

Common issues & solutions #

I’m getting an error 500 on Judge.me when I try to create my application

Make sure you are logged into your Judge.me account before visiting the link to the application creation form.

I’m getting a connection error when I click “Connect”

Please carefully review your Client ID and Secret. Most issues come from copy/paste errors.

Some customers are not getting points

Make sure the customers are using the same email for Judge.me reviews as the email linked to their WordPress account. Entering a different email into Judge.me review widget will likely result in no points given.
